Story

Where did Square Apes come from?

Based Apes minted on Base in April 2024. The team took the mint money and ghosted the community. Six weeks later the holders opened their own server and kept going. That group became Ape Syndicate. The drop planned under that name is retired.

Square Apes was named live on a Hoodstreet Space hosted by @RoaringPiggy on 10 September 2026.

Is there a free mint?

Yes. Holders of select collections mint free first, CCFF00 first. The list is announced on X.

We never DM first. Links only from squareapes.com and @Rusty_is_Square. Anything else is a scam.

How do I keep my apes safe?

Keep the apes in a wallet you never sign from.A hardware wallet or a fresh address that only holds. Mint and trade from a separate hot wallet and move apes to the vault after.
Never type a seed phrase into a website.No site, form, support agent, or sync tool needs it. Anyone asking is stealing it.
Read what you sign.A signature request that mentions setApprovalForAll, permit, or an unfamiliar contract can hand over everything. Reject and ask in Discord.
The project never DMs first.Links only from squareapes.com and @Rusty_is_Square. Every DM with a link is a scam, including ones that look like us.
Revoke approvals you no longer use.Old marketplace and game approvals stay live forever. Check them every few months and revoke what you do not recognise.
